JUST GETTING STARTED

Hello to all my fellow makeup divas. This is my first attempt at blogging and what better way to start is by talking about one of the things I love most and that is makeup. I have an over-flowing collection of high-end products as well as drugstore, which in my humble opinion could be coveted as high-end save for the quality, but the prices are getting insane. I guess that is where the term "inflation and/or "competetion comes into play. I do not have a camera as of yet, but I figure, if I quit buying so much makeup, I can probably invest in one. Any suggestions would be well-received. I do have access to a digi cam, but the picture quality is not very good and if I am going to show pictures of things, i.e., especially makeup and my stash, I want them to be on point. My blog will consist mostly of lemmings I have (things I really do not need), but want, reviews of items that I will be shopping for mainly out of my stash (I am on a serious no-buy for a while as I kind of went overboard the past few months). I do not wear makeup on a daily basis, as I work from home now and really have no desire to be all made up sitting in front of my PC for 7 hours a day with no one to see me, but I do like to "play" in my stash on Sundays and Mondays (my days off) to come up with different combos of colors, especially eyeshadows. I am just now getting into brighter colors and find them quite striking when paired with muted shades or neutrals. I am a retired hairdresser (not retired in a sense that I am too old to stand or work anymore), I just have chosen a different career path and I only cater to my family and friends when it comes to doing makeup and hair. I will try and be as consistent as possible with keeping up with this blog, but I have to type 7 hours a day (haven't gotten carpal tunnel syndrome yet). I hope to give a review of things I have in my personal stash, looks I have dreamed about or randomly jotted down on a piece of paper that I would like to try on friends and/or family members, magazine articles pertaining to makeup and skin care.
